Over the years I've seen articles on wikipedia with blatantly biased info, and even though I wanted to contribute I thought, "nah... maybe one day." So now that day came.
Immediately, I'm disappointed. Basically, you can edit any article but what they don't tell you is if you're new, someone will likely just come behind you and revert the changes you did.
So the newbie, with no street cred, starts off in the lowliest position possible. Even the bots(they edit too) have more credibility than you.
That's where you fine people come in. Anybody on QBN dabbled in wikipedia editing? Teach me your ways.
Oh, and did I mention edit wars? If the article you want to edit is controversial, even harder for your edits to stick. Halp?

Same experience as you. Can't remember what it was, but I corrected something I knew to be incorrect.
I check a day or so later and some daft cunt had reverted it.
It was something to do with my hometown or somesuch, and something entirely unimportant, yet someone was watching, and someone was not happy.
Never bothered since.

Also, the pages explaining how to edit wikipedia... I'm at a loss for words to explain how utterly confusing this is to read. I'm not a designer, so maybe it's easier for ppl who mess with tags and css all day long.
This shit below is like sadomasochism. Shortcut what? Namespace what? Target page what?
WHAT??

Today I saw some racist wikipedia vandalism and I scrubbed it clean. Could report the bastard but it was an edit made by an IP address that had no other history, so fuck it.

Oops, meant to add this link which helps explain why edits get undone quickly.

Fascinating. I've never even considered editing content before, but I'm sure it's crossed my mind. Are those your screenshots?
