  The Sri Lankan coastline is full of destruction. Tsunamis, caused by one of the biggest earthquakes ever, hit our small island on Sunday, December 26, 2004. Everything on the way was reduced to mere rubble.
  Tens of thousands of people have died; many more have been injured; more than a million are homeless. The whole country is in shock, trying to cope with this catastrophe of unprecedented magnitude.
  This, more than ever, is Sri Lanka's hour of need.
