    in the view options, select "high-quality display" it leaves the white area around it to save on system resources...

    also double check that your eps is saved properly, include thunbnail, etc.

    other note... in my experience, ID acts a little goffy sometimes when you paste vector art directly into ID... if you can place using a picture box, your printer will thank you for it :)
