I would allow for a bit more space. Make it a bit wider. Maybe about 50 pixels. It looks a bit to constrained right now. I am sure it is for 640 x 480 but I think you will be safe if you leave the area a bit.
Make the nav text a bit larger and easier to read.
I would like to see a bit more padding where the text is at. Pretty close to the edge. Just open the space up a bit.
Over all it loos OK. Not the best, can improve, should improve. Because the page lacks content, it looks even more so when everything is really small and tight.
