Global Warming is overrated.
There have been higher levels of it in the past, due to a number of reasons, vulcanism for one, and no evidence of paleo-catostophic events such as Hurricanes.

True, but human civilization hasn't been at a similar point, so who knows what the consequences would be for civilization. My faith in human beings ingenuity tells me we'll muddle through as a species - but there will be dramatic impact on societies across the globe.
