OMG! me too. but i think its a pretty common experience. it was the first thing they taught me in bike school... don't ride your bike and carry milk or will fly off your bike and do a somersault into a retaining wall and fall forward and the gallon of milk could hit you in the head but chances are it will miss your head by the narrowest of margins
if only i would have listened to my bike school instructor and heeded their warnings... i wouldn't have had to go back to the store and get another gallon of milk
