I had this fat bastard teacher called Mr Perez who started each morning, during Gulf War I, telling us that the Moroccans (just across the water from Gibraltar) would rise up, united with the rest of the arab world if Israel responded to Saddam's scud tickles.
As a politically naive teenager, I can tell you that had the shits put up me, and all for naught and I've never quite forgiven him.
