wow, this thread's been down since the US Open.

So . . . since then I've played Glen Abbey, nice course, not really worth the price though. But, we did end up playing 29 holes because it was so dead we just kept going, hit the back nine and got down into the valley and nobody bothered us.

It was really cool to play a course where you know that Tiger et al has been on the same tee, rolled on the same green etc.

Tried the legendary "Tiger Bunker" shot on 18. 220 yrds out of the bunker over the lake onto the green. I didn't quite get the same result. I popped about 3 pond bombs then gave up in order to save money on balls.

The next day played Eagles Nest. Holy shit that course is difficult. Links style with a bunch of elevation changes. Very tough, don't get in the fescue or you're dead. Certainly recommend it though, beautiful course, very well maintained and all the beer girls are damn hot and have killer uniforms if you know what I mean.

Day after that (yes, this was a long weekend marathon) played the worst round of my life. 146. This included 7 shanks in a row on 14 and then a helluva 4 iron toss into the woods accompanied by the bluest streak that has ever escaped my mouth.

Took a couple weeks off to cool down.

Then I've just had a nasty slice in my drive for the past three rounds and I've been racking of strokes off the tee like crazy.

Hopefully I'll get rid of that and move on to breaking 100 this year. Thought I would have done that by now but . . .
