word, glassjaw is actually pretty good most of the time. they do some not-so-good shit too, but they are worth listening to, but not quite nu-metal. deftones still kick the shit outta any of those other "nu" bands though.
but as far as just thick ass grainding mean as shit wanna smash your face and bleed on the concrete with broken glass in your teeth and some excellent riffs and beats mixed in with some techno flava, then ... slipknot, spineshank, and fear factory (and no, FF are not nu-metal but close enough)
dillenger escape plan is excellent, but still nothing like nu-metal. completely different styles, and yes, they are better than any numetal shit, but our boy is looking for a particular sound, so we gotta band together with our greasey black eye make-up and unhook our massive piercings and come up with some sounds to suit our boy.
