i would'nt purchase another program to help compress the flash files.
if you can save things out at png-8 (flash compresses png better/smaller evern if a png out of fireworks or ps is larger filesize)
also mess with the export settings in flash (either globally or within each image to drop file size)
also, make sure all your images/shapes/masks etc. are movieclips that way if any of them are ever duplicated it will only have to load once and saving on file size).
