in my experience it is always better to walk away and not antagonise anyone, no matter how much they deserve it or you want to do it.
Believe me, you never know when you might live to regret saying it.
Don't create needless enemies, they appear without you having to create them for yourself. Don't give away what your future plans are. They are your plans, keep them well protected.
Leave on good terms - at least so they think they're good terms.
Plan a party when you're doing really well, then, if you left on godd terms, invite them along and show them how well you did without them.
