    I agree with you ribit about Apple having more choices, or at least with the other companies being more present in local stores, but that's just not the case. And it sucks that there is no Apple store here in Ottawa (I suspect there will be one within the next 5-10 years though).

    I personally hate covering items like sofas, but mainly when it's one of those hardish plastics that stick to you when the room/weather is hot. If it's just a sheet or something in cotton, then it's fine. I still think a laptop is different since I will be bringing it with me to school nearly every day. The white one is especially likely to get dirty. Anyway, I'm covering the wrist areas and keyboard for now just to avoid discoloration and food pieces getting into my laptop (since I eat and drink things while working on it during lunch time or whatever at school).

    I'll think about the outer cover later, although I think a sleeve is good enough.
