what's funny is considering the pounding the land rover has received, we've had no issues which aren't directly related to me, say, pounding the rear diff on a rock or landing on a slider hard enough to loosen the fillings in my teeth. lol!
the poor reputation of land rovers really applies to the p38 (range rover model) and discovery series 1...they have issues like all cars but with good maintenance they're fantastic and can take a crazy amount of stress. their performance off-road is always amazing.
