That sucks man...
i agree with you on it being their fault. My old pb had a screen defect from apple and was taken back to be replaced. Apart from the screen everything else was in pristine functioning and cosmetic condition. And supposedly they noted this down. When it was returned the casing had dents, scratches and what appeared to be deep vice marks/bites on the corners. I complained and luckily i remember the guy who id handed the pd to and even though he didn't remember how exceptionally good it was, he didn't rememeber there being any obvious marks either. So he took it back and I got it replaced once again.The main thing though is that I remember one of the techs mentioning that they don't guarantee a BRAND NEW piece of hardware to be the replacement, but one that isn't found to be defective... I was told this because the 'new' screen appeared darker in some places...
So...yeah, i guess it's your call. I would complain to them again and see what you get out of it.
