I'd agree to some extent that Banksy deserves credit for his ideas and his work, but its all getting a bit hoary to my mind. I was really excited by the ideas he worked with when he first started gaining attention. The little black books he produceced which were like little visual essays on his point of view were amazing, but now its become a constant rehash of the same basic pun. Take something military/violent/brutally adult, add something childlike/innocent/wistfully nostalgic, create interaction, bask in the sparks caused by unfamiliar juxtaposition, repeat process, repeat process, repeat process, repeat process, repeat to fade, repeat to fade, repeat to fade... In my humble opinion.
