    Yeah, new model is out soon 450D or XSI 12.1mp I think. Live view, most of the features of the 40D but noise is questionable. Personally i'm making the move from 400D to 40D as it feels a lot nicer also for the weatherproofing. I've just bought the 17-40 f4 L too, very nice glass. Chasing megapixels won't get you better pics though. I also used a 17-85 IS USM, wasn't bowled over by the quality, especially wide open. It's beter than a standard kit lens though and the IS is very handy.

    • Bridge in CS3 looks likegood place to start - since I have been into photoshop for ever.
