Futurology has been so damn boring during the last thirty years of fat happy complacency, and now the heat is on, its exciting once more. For the first time in a long time its possible to daydream about a genuinely futuristic existence as opposed to 'the world of next year when pda's finally go seamlessly online" etc.

Imagine, a post oil world where we vhizz around on superlight alloy hoverboards charged by microwave beams energised by the sun.

Love it. Except for the Dyson Sphere. Never was there such a triumph of 'poor me' marketing over product effectivness as exists with James Dyson and his so-called 'carpet cleaners'. Wallet hoovers more like.

    Carry on.

    • heh, we've been so spoiled by the internet, haven't we? We take it and all that attaches to it completely for granted.detritus
