    three posts, same site?

Well, the visual design is really nice and fits very well with the product. The colors are especially great... inspired by the nice photos. I am certain this site was stunning in mock ups.

However, like a lot of flash sites, the navigation is a bit odd. Not that a menu on the left is all that strange but that I click and all of this stuff rolls by and I think "hey, that looked interesting" but wasn't sure what it was. Also, I just get little bits of info on each page, I wouldn't mind scrolling a bit for a little more. Clicking involves me choosing and choosing involves thinking and commitment. Scrolling doesn't ask so much. In other words, too many sections for too little info and much of the info that is there is marketing fluff anyway.

As for the transitions, they drag a bit at the end as they approach the stopping point making the text jumpy. Go look at group94 for smooth animated transitions.

That said, it is nicer that the other 90% of the web and better than 99% of the work I do. I found that I wasn't really reading it but just flipping through because the colors and design really are that compelling.

    Grading: Design = 97%, Usability = 75%
