  My Macbook is a year old. I'm thinking maybe I should get another external HD because of the chance that it will last longer than my Macbook, but that means I will have to keep a lot of my stuff on the external. I hate having to remove the plugs/wires when carrying it around. So it's basically: convenience vs. lifespan / long-term life at this point. Either way, if I can find something fast, that would be a plus.

  • max 50GBs for OSX and all your apps.. that leaves 70 for current jobs and maybe some fresh tuneshorton
  • also remember Snow Leopard will be trim... not sure if that'll actually require less on your HD but i can't imagine it needing more.horton
