    If you want to take it to the next level, you should really be handwriting in marker, then scanning. You'll be able to capture the spirit in a more interesting way, it'll look way more proprietary, and it won't rely on any kind of illusion, because it will have been actually hand written.

    Each character will be different, which paints a much more realistic picture - it bothers me so much when I see people use a distressed font, and proceed to type a word like "DEER" without using alternates. Totally kills credibility. (google bed head's logo, etc)
