  You know, the funny thing is that overall I see a very wide range of creative here that makes it really tough to peg down "Dutch Design".

  Ok, yes grid systems. Check.
  When it comes to organizing and layout out copy heavy pieces I can definitely see the distinction.

  Thing is this client is talking about more of a personality piece that embodies the character of the characters that make up the company as opposed to the company identity itself.

  And the referenced Dutch design. So, my conclusion is that they may not know what they are talking about.
