I can speak to the Toyota Highlander. It comfortably seats my family (3), plus three dogs, and goes very well in the snow. It's a V-6, so it's about as good as you'll get fuel-wise for a vehicle of that size.
The stock sound system is mediocre, at best, but it was very easy to run new speaks, etc. We rewired the entire vehicle in an afternoon.
Moderately priced, reliable and all-around boring to look at, but a very good fit for our household.
- Also, the third seat is useless for anything outside of short trips with elementary-aged kids.blaw
