    The bottleneck of a computer is the hard drive: a desktop drive is still faster, even if both are 7200 rpm. That's the main difference between desktops and lapyops. Fast SSD memory will even (or wipe) this out soon though. Even if your MB doesn't come with one of these now, they'll be cheap enough upgrades in a year or two.
    Note: I hear Apple installed SSD drives aren't the fastest around.

    You'll be ok getting your mb with a large 7200 rpm dirve, or better get a standard drive and upgrade it yoursrelf with a 7200 drive with 5 years warranty. It'll cost the same and you will have the original drive for external storage.

    • i played with a mbp with a ssd and wasnt to impressed. im not sure about those drives yet on the writingdeathboy
