Put food on the table? It sounds like that 300.00 would have done that. And now it's his job to help them get back on their feet? If they found a way to buy three buildings they should be resourceful enough to solve this problem themselves. Or to get a loan, or to have learned that they have to save so much for periods when the the units will not have tenants (which is common if you're a landlord). Someone aside from vitamin needs to be more responsible.
