I despise the 'it's not natural argument', it's a hollow argument that doesn't stand up to any criticism. It only makes sense if you believe in a vengeful, controlling, god.

Anything that occurs is, by definition natural. There was never one time when everything was 'just right' that we need to hang on to. The world and society have always been in a state of flux and change and always will be.

Rather than ask 'is it natural', I think it's more important to assess whether any good is likely to come from it.

As corny as it sounds - if two people love each other, their relationship is not going to be detrimental to society.

In some countries homosexual men are hunted down and murdered for simply being homosexual. The reason? ... 'god doesn't approve' / 'it's not natural'.

    It's utter bullshit.

And equality is not absolute. It's relative and it relates to freedom under law. No one is - or would want to be - the same. But people deserve the same chances to make a decent life for themselves.

    • I can't say I agree with everything that occurs being natural per se, but I understand your sentiments.ismith
    • Of course, that could easily be due to a difference in perspective on what natural is.ismith

    • I guess it depends on yr definition of natural -> I think natural means 'occurs in nature'lukus_W
