  Look - my beef with Flash isn't the editing program itself - it's the output. One day, some smart fucker will need to come up with a version of Flash, or a Flash-like application that does everything Flash does now... but doesn't output to a wholly proprietary format.

  If the web's matured enough now to the point where it can do most of what Flash does, without Flash... then why not?

  To be honest, half the time I go off on this tangent, I'm doing it for you, skt...
