  I dont think thats denmark, its some small island between Ice land and finland and its a yearly festival where the boats capture the migrating whales and corral them to the shore where the locals kill them or "harvest" them. Since theres not much that grows on the island, and you can't have much livestock this tradition has persevered as one of the only means for the island to get sustenance...
