Hangover is mostly dehydration. Drink a lot of water before going to bed. By lots I mean no less than two glasses. Then have a glass next to your bed for when you wake up and gasp for it.
I am often ok after a night of drinking, provided that I had water.I sometimes smoke when I drink, this is a hangover booster.
