  Don't loose hope man, you do nice work.
  Sometimes you just dont click at the right time, or the shop might be too small to what you are looking at.

  One thing you did that I liked is to offer "a more jr position" as you call it, instead of taking a pay cut, you asked for a cut on responsibilities, I never thought about that before.

  I think we've all been there, being a freelancer I'm in that situation all the time, you have no idea what people think design is worth sometimes, including FREE.
