am a utd fan too... of course i don't condone rooney's behaviour. despicable.
but over recent years Ferguson's man management has been shown to be severely lacking with players in the squad. Also, i think that many of the big players on the transfer market are dissuaded from coming to Man U because of Ferguson. Mourinho on the other hand attracts the big players - they want to play for him.
