I don't believe special status needs to be given because of some historical birthright at all. What I'm trying to say is if you break it down, don't we give special status to a fortunate few all the time? It may not be by birthright but it could be by virtue of how well they do on a sitcom or talk show. In politics, in business. We create these future royals all the time.
Take politics out of what I'm saying. Isn't it just about being fair? Life really isn't, that's why it's an interesting topic. And human motivations are so very conflicting. Taking one person out of power while placing another in the same spot - all the while overlooking the real reason for that spot was because we need them there.
Why? Hell, I don't know. I'm just bored at work, and this is far more interesting.
