Yeah all the outrage over the (intentionally) bad typography is a bit weird. It's like there's only one way of doing things these days.
Put aside your personal opinion of the aesthetics. Is playing around with readability, usability, etc, really such a horrible thing, on the portfolio site of a company known for their experimental approach?
On a side note, I was happy to see this is still up
- It is if it is poorly done. The problem, imho, is that it looks like a generic grid, with jumbled stuff all overformed
