    illustrator CS5 has some nice new features, but NOTHING that makes you go like, how the hell did I managed to be a designer all these years without it you know?

    The feeling is more like:
    1 - go to check what's new on adobe's site
    2 - mumble something like "oh cool!"
    3 - never use that feature ever
    4 - client sends you files on a newer version of CS
    5 - now you have to upgrade again
    6 - repeat from step 1
