    Try changing the Fontexplorer font folder from the default location (deep in a user folder) to somewhere else. You can do this in the Fontexplorer Preferences. I like to have mine in the hard drive root (same level as Applications, System Library, Users, etc. Also, you did copy the fonts over to your new hard drive already, yes? If you're trying to import them over a network from the other machine, there could be permission issues.
