I'd be interested in knowing what worked... I have to wear a T-shirt that says "I will not fix your computer" when I go to some of my friends places, they expect miracles....
but another bit of knowledge is always good for a free beer and lifelong congratulations if I can fix something stupid like this the day before a deadline for somebody I collaborate with....
