    Also consider a local craftsman/carpenter. Find a design you like, find a craftsman you trust, and talk with them about what can be done, for things like desks, tables and chairs.

    You'd end up with bespoke stuff that would strike a better balance between quality and price, especially if you get more than one or two pieces done.
