^ I think that's BS.
Let's be real about this: they're looking for a pixel-pusher, not a content writer or strategic planner. Not having a Twitter account in no way hinders a designer from doing what they're hired to do, which is designing stuff. If there is really a need to design something involving Twitter, it's not like they can't simply research what needs too be done and take it from there.
No, I reckon they want people with Twitter, so that they can make hiring decisions based on what they read, and that's not right at all.
