    It's been around a lot longer than that and used to be called Drum & Bass until some scenesters decided to rename it Dubstep.

    Now don't go saying "nah its diferent stylee man" it's NOT.
    I've got D&B mixes with tunes on them that would these days be called dubstep.

    By 2002 D&B was dying anyway.
