Someone mentioned the other week on here that they'd had an application for designer position out of the blue and the girl had designed the company's letterhead as a demo of her skills.
I always remember a beautiful CV I got sent a few years ago, it was a hand bound book with the girls cv in it. The font used looked like handwriting so the whole thing looked like it had been done as a one-off piece rather than a mass produced and mindlessly sent to hundreds of companies.
