    Same here. I have ended up switching to new comps when the HD's have gone on older ones haha.

    SSD's are more reliable BUT one drawback is that if they fail they do so without prior warning and fail spectacularly! Whereas with standard HD's they will usually start glitching and hiccuping before going kaput so usually gives you time to get your stuff backed up.

    Another drawback seemingly of SSD's is the lifetime of data on them. Some cheaper ones won't store data forever. Just like cheap SD cards you might go to your camera that you havent used for a year, take out the SD card and a number of the images will be corrupt or gone.

    Whichever I buy SSD or SSHD, i'll also be keeping a regular backup going onto an external drive too.
