One of my best chums, a Welsh girl here in i the warehouse in London, has a penpal who's in prison on the West Coast of the States somewhere - some gang-related crime thing (She knows him from when he was a wee nipper, a decade ago when she lived there).
Poor fucker's in his early 20s and is basically doomed - a couple of stupid little demi-criminal convictions topped up by a fight a couple of years back, defending one of his chums. Poor fucker's probably going to be in for life with that evil-ass Three Strikes system they have over there.
The pencil sketches he sends her are Fucking Amazing. So sad.
We have a fuck-off huge Mexicali meal in his honour every month or so, and send him photos... which I'm not sure doesn't amount to some sort of torture, but whatever.
