My internet is in restricted mode at home, ie. only a handful of non-addictive sites allowed, online tv, news etc, but no google and no youtube. This is why I am more seldom to see on QBN, btw
I use a special app for this. I can configure internet access for my user profile online and then have the same profile/access on all devices
On my Mac my user account is a regular user account (non-admin), so I cannot uninstall or override. I have set up a firmware password, so that I cannot reset my admin password through installation CD
I keep all passwords at work. Software updates&maintenance is done through Logmein, also from work
