a lot of friends/colleagues kept talking about Serial saying how amazing and addictive it was. So I decided to give it a try. I listened to each one, hoping the next one would contain more information. I have now listened to all but the final one. I can only say I have been disappointed and can't really see what the fuss is about.

A journalist gets involved in an old case that's already been tried, lets her emotions and suspicions get in the way, befriends the suspect who is already in prison. Gets some hazy anecdotes from people who were around at the time 15 years ago. She's obviously not going to 'solve' the case and get him acquitted. So it will all be for nothing. Just seems like really unprofessional journalism. More about herself than the case.

I understand that it's more about her process than a resolution, but it seems unfair to drag the case out again, and put all the families through it again.

    • That sounds like a good way to look at it. I've heard several people gush about how "groundbreaking" it is or whatever...mg33
    • whatever... and what you described is kind of how I feel even though I've not finished it.mg33
    • Koenig doesn't hide her admiration for Adnan, evn when she doubts him...its more narative driven then journalisticAa77
