    Not to hijack the thread, but I've noticed that music sites for artists are much worse looking than they used to be. An example is http://www.rihannanow.com

    It's a white page with a giant youtube embed and some buttons for downloading. No user experience, no fancy design. I see this all the time, and I assume it's because Rihanna's management figures that nobody gives a shit. And, maybe they're right.

    But, is anyone going to Rihanna's page because they want to download her albums? Not really, they just use Spotify, iTunes, etc. Do they go there to see her videos? Probably not, they just go straight to youtube. So you'd think that her official site would be all about making some kind of creative experience ad for her brand. Maybe they just don't see a value in it. However, I find it hard to understand why they are spending $75k on a music video and next to nothing on a web site.

    Maybe something similar is happening with movie sites?
