I bought and sold well at Reading record fair yesterday,
these are some of the 78's picked up at various prices
from 75p to £2 and there were some LP's and 7"s
but I'll post those later. This 78 is especially rare as it was a charity single
and includes a spoken introduction by The Queen's
husband into a song sung by Frank Sinatra and featured
in ‘Gay’s The Word’ the last stage show written by
Ivor Novello in 1951 - listen : http://www.mediafire.com/listen/…a French disc in beautiful near mint condition,
with a bit of research I found it was released in 1947
and was the debut release by The Charlie Parker Quarteta one-sided acetate by Quintette Of Hot Club of France aka Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli
Billy Costello, the original voice of Popeye sings this song
and 'Blow The Man Down' both from the 1930's
