  oooo. this looks interesting, @JR. reminds me of a taller version black hills,

  yeah, road closures will determine what vehicle i get. hopefully trail ridge road in RMNP will be open. looks to open may 22. i'll planning on renting or borrowing shoeshoes, (lol, snowshoes). don't know if i'm ready for pitching a tent in snow tho...

  I want to camp on Crater Lake for views of the Maroon Bells—but I heard and avalanche destroyed the area.
  

  

  
  (gotta retake some images from back here, this was taken back in 2007 and my camera and retouching techniques have gotten way better)

  And if I'm near Aspen, I may make it up to Hanging Lake in Glenwood Springs. I hope to seen a sunrise and sunset at Garden of the Gods—I have only been here in the afternoon and I'm not really into the crowds.
