Saying "goodbye" and wishing a figure from pop culture peace on his journey to wherever he's going is always a sign of 'respect' (and dare I say 'love'?). Some people pay homage in a song, some in a drawing, some may write a poem... some may create a public display (posting cards, photos, flowers or letters on a wall / public area in a public place)— I see the internet (places like QBN) to be a forum for such a place...
Colin... would you stand out in front of a blues bar that had pictures, letters, flowers etc all for BB and say what you're saying?
"This wall of love is disrespectful... I know because I'm using theory and sociology!"
