I have mixed thoughts about this.
Since this war has started Syrians started flooding into Turkey. It's estimated 2 million refugees in Turkey now.
On one hand these people run away from a war that has been fed by Turkey and the West, on the other hand, in some cities crime rates have increased, In Istanbul it's full of arabic speaking beggars everywhere and interestingly they keep giving birth to new babies while living in terrible conditions.
Maybe this is the case for only a small percentage of immigrants and maybe the majority is integrating in a way that we don't even feel or be bothered.

Either way, mass immigrations always happened in history and changed certain social and cultural settings. Like Africans to America(forced immigration), like Irish or Mexcians to USA, Spanish Jews(or Sephardic jews) to Ottoman empire, Algerians to France, Mongols to Hungary etc...
Most of them are not welcomed at first, but then slowly created the society again from within.

Borders and fences can't stop people, they always find a way.
So instead of grunting we should just continue with the flow. And who knows maybe one day you might decide to immigrate to somewhere else too.
