I know this guy Jimmy King who took those last photos. I met Jimmy in 2010 when he was meticulously cataloging all David's objects, everything from stage outfits to old drug paraphernalia. Apparently he had a storage unit in New Jersey that was full of everything he'd collected, like he knew that it was important to keep a record of everything for the posterity of culture, like he was building an archive that people could reference. Most of which came out in the exhibition but i can't help feel like he was getting his affairs in order for the time when he'd finally move on from this world.
