  Huh. I forgot about this. I remember looking into it (or something very like it) about 5 years ago.

  I could really do with this as I use Illustrator all the time and about a quarter of the things I use it for could benefit from some CAD-like smartness.

  I tried a few CAD programs early on and hated the impositions of their 'uncreative' workflow — it would be good, for me anyway, to have an amalgam of the two toolsets.

  • I'm just about nerdy enough in illustrator to work around most problems, but there are some things (eg. notched joins) that are a PITA to edit manually.detritus
